Various social networking web portals have been already accused of sharing user’s personal data and information with the advertisers. This mainly includes the online IDs and the names that allow all the ad companies to discriminate particular users. As far as the Facebook’s case is concerned, the advertisers could easily see that from which users profile the clicks were coming. I mean come on Facebook, we being the user’s have an intervention with you because we thought you have the best privacy policies, but on the other hand, you are sharing it with the ad companies is simply intolerable not just for me but most of the public users. According to an article published by PC world, when asked from the users about the privacy concerns of Facebook, 60% of the users said that they are going to quit Facebook.
Apparently, MySpace and Facebook instantaneously stopped the secret user information sharing, when they were questioned about the privacy concerns. And this is because, at this time, it is really going to make a difference for them. It is just that you do not get angry but actually feel disappointed, as you cannot expect this to get right ever because the social media giants are not going to change themselves ever at all.
