Steve Jobs Resigns As The CEO of Apple!

Two-time CEO as well as the co-founder Apple Corporation, Steve Jobs has offered his resignation to the company’s board of directors.

He has been suffering from poor health for quite some time. Back in January 2011, he took a medical leave from the company. He came back to the public spotlight in the month of March on the Launch of iPad 2.

He believes he is not enjoying a good health and as a result he will not be able to perform the duties of Apple’s CEO; however, he has recommended the name of Tim Cook as Apple’s new CEO.

He further stated that Apple’s most innovative and brightest days are ahead of it and he would be looking forward to contributing and watching the success in a totally new role. He truly was being thankful to all his associates and friends at Apple Corporation.

Cutting long story short, the guy isn’t doing well and certainly is not coming back to the company which has made this a sad day for the company as well as its fans all around the globe.

HP – No More A Part of Tablets & Smartphone Market

HP has lately declared that it is not going to produce tablets or smartphones any more because of poor sales as well as low profit margin. HP is now going to fully concentrate on cloud-based solutions and business software and has recently acquired the U.S. software Company Autonomy for $ 10.3 billion.

HP tried really hard to get a part of the smartphones and tablets market by even acquiring of Palm and development of WebOS with their smartphones and tablets, and even few months back, HP was planning to input the WebOS feature even on their PCs. On the other hand, all these efforts were of no-good productivity for the firm, and as a result they have decided to close it for further production.

Various smartphone and tablet manufacturers like Apple and others are now counting one less rival after HP has withdrawn from the market. Therefore, the number of rivals drops down to four of them including RIM’s BlackBerry, Microsoft’s Windows 7 Phone, Google Android and Apple iOS. Android Leads OS Market With Apple Being Top Manufacturer – Nielsen

Nielsen has lately released a report and according to that Android, the Operating system from Google happens to be the prevalent piece of the U.S based consumer Smartphone market acquiring 39% of it. The iOS by Apple stands second with 28% whereas the RIM’s Blackberry OS has dropped down to almost 20%.

The graph provided by Nielsen in this regard shows that Apple has been still able to grasp the position of ‘Top Manufacturing Unit’ as they all along with RIM are the only manufacturers of their respective operating systems. On the other hand, Android Operating system is featured on hardware from various companies.

The popularity rate concerning Android has even exceeded its previous protrusions.
